** ESX 3.5 Release Note: On Dec. 11, 2007 VMware released ESX 3.5.0. Before upgrading your production environment, make sure to do proper due diligence. Upgrade test/dev host(s) only until you are satisfied that the environment will operate as expected. Also, make sure you have a down grade path in place PRIOR to upgrading your production hosts, just in case (image your ESX hosts prior to upgrade). Also note, the esXpress GUI is NOW functional with ESX 3.5 with the esXpress 3.1.9 release. To run the esXpress GUI using 3.5 you must upgrade to 3.1.9. In prior releases of esXpress the GUI does not work in 3.5.
With ESX 3.5 we highly recommend applying the March 10th patches, which includes addressing hostd issues.
